Dr. Ambedkar College is run by Dr. Ambedkar Memorial Education Trust. This Institution was started by Sri. D. Bashkaran, Ex-Deputy Mayor in the year 1978 in the name of Dr. Ambedkar, the Champion of the downtrodden, to impart higher education particularly to the downtrodden and weaker sections of the Society. The College has developed a lot in various fields, since its inception. Within a span of four decades, over fifteen thousand Students have already availed the benefit of getting Education and are placed in good jobs.

AIMS OF THE MANAGAMENT
It shall be the aim of the Management to run these College in a manner befitting the lofty ideals propagated by Baba Saheb Dr. Ambedkar & the Founder Sri. D. Bashkaran. The Colleges promotes the ideals of Equality and human dignity. The Colleges also provides opportunities to its young Students to develop the potentials to the fullest extent, so that they achieve a high standard of Excellence both in Curricular & Extra-Curricular activities. The Colleges aspire to inculcate among the Students a sense of devotion to duty and mould them to be responsible Citizens of our Country.
